PTLLS in the Summer Wine country
Achieve your introductory Adult Teacher qualification in a classic Victorian house in the stunning Yorkshire Summer Wine countryside.
Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) is the threshold stage of the new teaching qualification framework for those working in FE, Adult Education, Community Education and Work Based Learning. This 5 day intensive programme is delivered in attractive and comfortable surroundings conveniently located midway between Huddersfield, Barnsley and Wakefield.
Key features are the individual attention offered to each learner through pre-course contact and 1:1 tutorials. The mandatory microteach activity is undertaken in a supportive and encouraging environment for the benefit of novices and experienced tutors alike.
Learners achieve the nationally recognised PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector) qualification, otherwise known as the "7303". It is suitable for anyone who is currently working in a training, tutoring or assessing role, or who is entering this profession and fulfils new requirements for LSC funded providers. It is a mandatory stepping stone to the advanced programmes 7304 Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLS) for the 'associate teaching' role and 7305 Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS) for the 'full teaching' role. It is also possible to link this programme to the level 3 A1 NVQ Assessor Award programme.
