Moving & Handling Trainer Training combined with PTLLS qualification
The Moving and Handling (of people) Trainer Training Course is a 6-day course that is combined with a Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) qualification. This makes it an ideal course for people wishing to train care staff and others in Moving and Handling skills whilst also gaining the nationally recognised 'threshold qualification' for Adult Teaching.
The PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector) qualification is suitable for anyone who is currently working in a training, tutoring or assessing role, or who is entering this profession. The complementary requirement for assessing or teaching is a qualification or experience in the relevant subject area.
PTLLS is the first stage of the new teaching qualification framework for those working in FE, Adult Education, Community Education and Work Based Learning. It is the 'threshold qualification' for all new tutors; until PTLLS is achieved new tutors must have their teaching supervised. It is becoming a standard requirement for trainers delivering all forms of government funded learning. It is also required for NVQ assessors. For further information about the new teaching regulations visit www.ifl.ac.uk
Those achieving the Concerto combined programme will be competent to train their workforce in-house in Moving and Handling skills (including Moving and Handling of People). It is also suitable for individuals with an interest in becoming a freelance trainer.
This course is being delivered in association with the Moving and Handling specialists, Positive Positioning Ltd. |
